Head of CHK Cancer Ward tests positive for COVID-19

KARACHI: The Head of the Cancer Ward at the Civil Hospital Karachi recently tested positive for the coronavirus.

Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr Khadim Hussain Qureshi, confirmed that the in-charge of the Oncology Department has contracted the viral infection and is isolated at home for treatment. The doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, and others who worked closely with the patient have been directed for screening.

Around one dozen employees, including doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff of the CHK has tested positive for the COVID-19 so far.
