JPMC received 1,405 COVID-19 patients in 2020

KARACHI: As many as 1,405 Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients have been brought to the COVID-19 Isolation Ward of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) from 18 March to 31 December 2020, out of which 54 died due to COVID-19 related complications.

The JPMC data showed that 22,871 tests were conducted from 18 March to 31 December 2020, out of which 1,405 got admitted to the COVID-19 ward for treatment while 37 are still admitted in the ward.

The data further showed that out of the total 1,405 admissions, 983 were male, and 422 were female. About 54 patients died of COVID-19 related complications in the previous year.
