Karachi doctor shot by robbers

KARACHI: A 55-year-old doctor was recently shot at and wounded by alleged robbers near Hasan Square in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.
As per sources, Dr Surrender Singh was wounded by robbers over putting up resistance to the robbery bid at Noman Arcade.
New Town SHO Manzoor Husain Arain said that the doctor had gone there to meet his sister.

As he came out from his car, armed motorcyclists tried to snatch his mobile phone. As he put up resistance, the robbers opened fire on him and fled along with the snatched cell phone.

The doctor suffered a bullet wound in his right knee and was taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Dr Surrender works at the Social Security hospital in Landhi area.
