Leading welfare societies join hands to provide medical treatment to Ashura mourners

Karachi: Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh in collaboration with the Jafaria Disaster Management Cell Welfare Organization have provided medical treatment to around 300 mourners during a two-day medical camp organized in connection with Youm-e-Ashoor at Numaish Chowrangi. 

The two-day medical camp was established on the directive of Chairperson PRCS Sindh Farzana Naik, under the supervision of Provincial Secretary Kanwar  Waseem, where approximately 300 mourners were provided first aid medical treatment, while dozens of people were shifted to nearby hospitals via PRCS ambulances for serious injuries.

Manager Health Department, PRCS Sindh, Dr Syed Muhammad Ali Warsi along with other doctors, and paramedical staff remained at the medical camp from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Around 15 volunteers also performed their duties in medical camp. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association (PPMSA) also established a two–days medical camp at MA Jinnah Road where dozens of mourners of 10th Muharam were provided medical facilities.

This medical camp was organized on the directives of Central President of PPMSA Niaz Hussain Bhutto, and dozens of mourners received first treatment during and after processions. President PPMSA Karachi Nazir Abbasi, Muhammad Shahid and other paramedical staff were also present at the camp during both days.
