Lecture on Psoriasis Held in Islamabad

A lecture on Psoriasis disease was conducted by Senior Consultant Dermatologist of Maroof International Hospital – Dr. Rahatullah Khattak. The event was held recently in Islamabad.  The lecture was titled: “Skin in Focus - Psoriasis” and it also included a presentation on a specific case of Psoriasis, which has been successfully treated. The programme was facilitated by a pharma enterprise - Nabi Qasim Industries.

The purpose of the lecture was to enhance awareness among the medical professionals about the disease - Psoriasis, its symptoms, diagnosis and management. The lecture was attended by a large number of medical officers, nursing staff and the hospital consultants.

The learned speaker elaborated on the effective treatment methodologies for Non-advanced Psoriasis, which include; Lubricants, Karolytics and Topical Steroids. The participants appreciated the discussion providing valuable information and updates on the consequences of Psoriasis, in case it is not treated in time.
