Medical Superintendents to hold promotion committee meetings

KARACHI- Health Department Government of Sindh  has authorized the medical superintendents of public sectors hospitals and other relevant officials for holding of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting for the promotion of  clerical ministerial staff and paramedical staff in Sindh. 
According to reports a health department circular was issued to the Director General Health Services, Hyderabad, Executive Director Officer (H) Karachi, Director National Institute of Child Health, Executive Director Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center, District Health Officers (all), Medical Superintendents (all), Principals and Director, Malaria Control Program Sindh.      
The circular on the subject: "Holding of DPC meeting for promotion to the Clerical Ministerial staff/ Paramedical Staff in Sindh", stated that “You are directed to finalized the pending cases of promotion of all the categories from BPS-1 to BPS-15 under your administrative control/ competency according to seniority list, as per APT Rules 1974 as soon as possible, under intimation to this Secretariat.
Spokesman All Sindh Peoples Paramedical Staff Welfare Association -Liaquat Mastoi welcomed the decision of provincial health department and termed good news for paramedics who were waiting for promotions since last five years.
He said authorizing the medical superintendents and heads of public hospitals for promotion of employees is a bold step of health department.   He said these kinds of decision were made by health secretaries in the past.
