Medical Technologists In Need of Service Structure

KARACHI-  Medical Lab Technologists Association of Pakistan (MLTAP) demanded the implementation of a Service Structure for Medical Technologists working within the Health Department Sindh, from Scale 17 to 20 on the pattern of Punjab.

This discussion took place during an important meeting of MLTAP held in Karachi. It was attended by the association’s president Muhammad Ali Malik, Dr. Muhammad Imran and others. The outcomes stated that Medical Technologists of Scale 17 to Scale 20 must be appointed at tehsil and district levels, all over Sindh province.

Furthermore, National Technology Council should be made functional for the registrations of qualified and professional medical technologists, eradicating the social evil of Quackery. Separate teaching cadre of Allied Health Professionals should be established, under the supervision of a qualified individual.

Representatives of MLTAP unanimously agreed on all these demands.
