NUR Int'l University held its Orientation Ceremony for the batch of 2016

Lahore: NUR International University (NIU) held its Orientation Ceremony for the batch of 2016 at its state of the art new campus situated in Model Town, Lahore. The ceremony was for the newly inducted students and the purpose was to introduce the values & expectations of the institution to them. NIU is Chartered by Government of Punjab & recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

NUR International University offers MS in Clinical Nutrition, Doctorate of Physical Therapy, BS (H) in Clinical Nutrition, BS (H) in Medical Lab Technology and BS (H) in Speech & Language Pathology under the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. The Faculty of Basic Sciences of NUR International University offers BS (H) in Biochemistry & BS (H) in Biotechnology. The Faculty of Management Sciences incorporates BS (H) in Economics with minor in Econometrics, BS (H) in Development Economics & BS (H) in Finance & Information Sciences.

The Mission of NIU is to provide a holistic education experience that promotes multidisciplinary studies, incorporating values and ethics and international best practices. The aim is to promote critical thinking amongst the students to equip them to understand and face the challenges of knowledge economy. In the world today where knowledge is the most valuable resource, a comprehensive and objective worldview is required to enable students to become leaders in the global village.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a presentation on NIU by Sara Tariq – Acting Registrar NIU. The orientation had addresses by the Pro Vice Chancellor - Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, Chairman Board of Governors - Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qureshi & Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission - Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin; the ceremony ended with a vote of thanks and welcoming the new batch of students to NIU.

In the future, NIU sees itself as a center of excellence providing education which not only makes its students competent professionals but also good human beings with sound moral and ethical values to take this nation forward.
