Palate cancer surgery performed at CHK

KARACHI - A team of surgeons successfully performed micro-vascular free flap reconstructive surgery on a 50-year-old woman, who was diagnosed as palate cancer patient, at the operation theater complex of Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

The surgery that lasted for seven hours was performed by CHK’s plastic surgeons - Dr Faisal Akhlaq, Dr Asad Awan and Dr Haider Ali.
The patient, who was diagnosed as having palate cancer, was earlier operated upon at a private hospital but the defect could not be properly healed.
