PIMA lauds Sindh Government for not deducting healthcare workers’ salaries

KARACHI: The Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) appreciated and welcomed the decision of the Sindh Government of not deducting any amount from healthcare workers’ salaries for the corona fund and to reimburse the already deducted amount with their next month’s wages.

The PIMA also acknowledged the efforts of all medical associations and doctors’ professional bodies, including the PMA, YDA, and the Sindh Paramedical Staff Association for protecting the rights of healthcare workers.

The PIMA expressed that unity among all associations is of utmost importance, and no objective can be achieved without a united and uniform struggle by all.

The PIMA expressed gratitude to print and electronic media for its role in highlighting the issue raised by these representative bodies.

The PIMA further reminded the government about its demands to announce compensation for deceased healthcare providers and risk allowance, especially for the young frontline soldiers.
