LARKANA- On the recommendation of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation & Coordination, Islamabad, has finally issued notification under which Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC) has been recognized and registered.

The notification was issued on September 18 and signed by Dr. Sara Ashraf, Assistant Director.

The PMDC has approved the BADC to impart training  to 50 BDS students per annum for awarding the degree by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana and  directed to add in the fifth schedule of the said ordinance 1962 (XXXII of 1962) the entry of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

The copies of the notification have also been sent to all concerned authorities including the BADC Principal.

However, the issue of House Job training of 50 BDS graduates is yet to be resolved by the Sindh Health Department. A 40-bed Dental Ward has already been established in Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana.

The first batch of 50 graduates is already out and waiting for house job training which was not allowed owing to non-recognition by the PMDC.
