PWA organizes blood donation camp

KARACHI- Patients’ Welfare Association (PWA) of Civil Hospital Karachi organized a blood donation camp at Dow Medical College to mark the World Blood Donor Day-2015. 

Over two dozen blood bags were collected in the blood donation camp.  

PWA’s communication officer told newsmen that the event, which was third of a series of quarterly blood donation campaign, was aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation. 

She informed that the PWA, being run by students of Dow Medical College, is the largest student-run non-governmental, non-political organization of country.

The PWA since its inception has been providing free medicines, screened blood, baseline dialogistic investigations to the needy and deserving patients. Besides, free treatment is arranged for those suffering from TB, Thalassemia, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes mellitus and hypertension, she added.
