Services of JPMC’s 39 doctors handed over to JSMU

Karachi: Services of 39 doctors of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) have been handed over to Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) for a period of one year.

According to a notification of Sindh government’s health department, issued with the approval of competent authority vide SGA & CD’s letter (No. SOII(SGA &CD) 6-14/2016, dated Feb 29,2016), the following doctors of JPMC have been relieved and allowed to join their new assignments at JSMU with their current posts. The lien in respect of the following doctors will be retained against their respective posts at JPMC for a period of one year, the notification added.

The 39 JPMC doctors whose services have been placed at the disposal of JSMU include three professors, eight associate professors, 16 assistant professors and 12 senior registrars.

Among them the three professors - Prof Tariq Mehmood, Prof Iqbal Afridi and Prof Nadeem Rizvi -, who are heads of Radiology, Psychiatry and Chest Medicine departments, respectively, will continue to be chief of their departments.

The associate professors whose services have been handed over to JSMU are: Dr Syed Masroor Ahmed, Dr Alyscia Cheema, Dr Sughra Parveen, Dr Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi, Dr Rukhsana Abdul Sattar, Dr Muhammad Asif Durrani, Dr Shahnaz Imdad Kher and Dr Muhammad Saeed Minhas.

Assistant professors and senior registrars who have been relieved from JPMC to take up their new assignments at JSMU are as follows:

ASSISTANT PROFESSORS: Dr Sameer R. Qureshi, Dr Muhammad Usman, Dr Qurban Shaikh, Dr Shahid Rasool, Dr Shabnam Naveed,  Dr Lal Rehman,  Dr Syed Zafar Haider, Dr Naila Tariq, Dr Syed Mehboob Alam, Dr Khadija Bano, Dr Muhammad Anwar, Dr Shahzad Ali, Dr Haleema Yasmin, Dr Muhammad Nadeem Munir, Dr Shoaib Malik and Dr Khalid Sher.

SENIOR REGISTRARS: Dr Ghulam Haider, Dr Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Dr Mazhar Iqbal, Dr Shabnam Naveed, Dr Rukhshanda Jabeen, Dr Zeeshan Ali, Dr Nausheen Ahmed, Dr Shahbaz Haider, Dr Sham Kumar, Dr Muahammad Mansoor, Dr Shahbaz and Dr Muhammad Rasheed Durrani.

Services of a medical officer of JPMC, Dr Ghulam Mustafa Khan, have also been handed over to JSMU.
