Seven more coronavirus cases confirmed in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Confirming the community transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Pakistan, health authorities noted that seven more Pakistanis have tested positive for the virus.

The total number of positive cases has jumped from 21 to 28 after seven people tested positive at the Taftan border.

“The coronavirus cases have jumped from 21 to 28 as seven more people tested positive for the COVID-19 at the Taftan border. They include a child with Thalassemia and his female attendant, a person with diabetes, and four of their contact persons,” said the State Minister of Health of Pakistan, Dr Zafar Mirza, at a news conference in Islamabad.
