Spokesperson, NICVD, said more than twelve employees of the NICVD, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, and others tested positive for COVID-19 in a week. He informed that corona was spreading in different wards; therefore, the administration has started staff screening to control its further prevalence.

He further informed that the majority of corona-affected staff had been isolated in their homes, but some have been admitted to the hospital. He said that healthcare workers had been instructed to strictly implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) during their duty hours.

The spokesperson also informed that the 12-bed NICVD corona ward was also functional in the NICIVD, where 8 to 10 corona patients have been admitted with other cardiac ailments.
