SGCH welcomes new CEO of Poverty Eradication Initiative

KARACHI- Former Medical Superintendent of Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), Dr Muhammad Taufiq, has recently joined the Sindh Government Children Hospital (SGCH) North Karachi, as their Chief Executive Officer of Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI).
The Children Hospital is being run by the Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) under public private partnership, since two years.
SGCH has been facing serious financial crises for over three months now, due to the delay in release of their allotted budget by Sindh Health Department.
Dr M.Taufiq paid a visit to the hospital, where he surveyed the Emergency department, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Operation Theater, Laboratory, OPD and assessed other facilities offered by the hospital.
He also held a meeting with the Director of Operations and other administrative officials, after the completion of his visit.
Deputy Director, Health Services Karachi, Dr Arif Niaz was also present at this occasion.
