Sindh Government restores health risk allowance

KARACHI: The Sindh Government has restored the health risk allowance for healthcare professionals of Sindh and withdrawn/cancelled the discontinuation notification.

According to a Sindh Finance Department order, considering the growing new wave of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the Sindh province, the declaration of discontinuation of health risk allowance has been hereby withdrawn/cancelled.

Central Leader of GHA, Aijaz Kaler, welcomed the Sindh Government for restoring the health risk allowance; however, he announced that a two-hour boycott of OPDs across the province would continue till the acceptance of other genuine demands.

President, Pakistan Peoples Paramedical Staff, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Ameer Ali Dinari, congratulated the doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff for the restoration of the health risk allowance. He informed that healthcare workers recorded their protest for seven days and compelled the provincial government to restore the health risk allowance.
