Skin hospital’s OT to be ready anytime soon

KARACHI - Operation theater of Sindh Institute of Skin Diseases (SISD) will be made operational soon for carrying out minor surgical operations and plastic surgeries.

According to the SISD’s director, Dr Jamil Ahmed Siddiqui, Plastic Surgery Professor of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Ashraf Ganatra, has not only agreed to train the institute’s doctors, but also gave his consent for performing plastic surgeries at the skin hospital as visiting surgeon.

The SISD administration has now requested the vice chancellor of DUHS to approve the arrangements made with Prof Ashraf Ganatra, the health facility’s director said, adding that surgeries of skin, warts and other minor operations will be performed at the institute shortly.

He also informed that new air-conditioners have been installed in the hospital’s male and female wards.
