Turkish hospital launching in Muzaffargarh

May, 2014 – Health Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab - Kh. Salman Rafiq, accompanied by a delegation of Turkish Health Ministry, visited Tayyip Erdogan Trust Hospital in Muzaffargarh.

The delegation included Dr. Owner Goner, Dr. Hassan, Dr. Osman, Dr. Saleemi and Sefa.

Salman Rafiq said on the occasion that this modern hospital, equipped with latest machinery, is a gift from the Turk government. As per instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, the hospital will become operational by June 21, where the patients will be provided Free-of-Cost medical treatment facilities. With the setting up of this hospital, not only the local people will enjoy modern medical facilities but the people of surrounding areas will also benefit from it.
The delegation also visited the emergency ward, OPD, ICU, X-Ray Department, Ultrasound Department, laboratory and other sections of the hospital. Later, while presiding over a meeting of Board of Management Committee, it was announced that the number of beds have been increased from 50 to 70 in Tayyip Erdogan Trust Hospital.
On the occasion, Dr. Abdul Bari briefed the meeting that; in a developing country like Pakistan only one doctor is available for 1206 persons and under these circumstances, Tayyip Erdogan Trust Hospital is not less than a blessing. He said that as many as 348 persons will be appointed to run the hospital. The monthly expenditure of this hospital will be Rs 10 million and all the record of the hospital will be computerized.
Dr. Hassan Bakhshi of Turkish Ministry of Health said that; this hospital, established by the Turkish government, has been constructed with a spirit of humanity to strengthen the exemplary relations between Pakistan and Turkey. As Muslims, we are brothers who share our joys and sorrows with each other. Representatives of the Turk company and doctors will soon visit Pakistan to impart training to the doctors and nurses.
