YDA distributes masks among doctors in NICH and JPMC

KARACHI: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Karachi Chapter distributed masks amongst the on-call doctors in the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center and National Institute of Child Health (NICH).

The masks were purchased by the doctors of the NICH, JPMC, Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA), and the Dua Foundation.

Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gowns, gloves, sanitizers, goggles, and others, will also be purchased for doctors. The YDA is collecting funds to contribute to the medical fraternity more.

The YDA, with the help of the government, generous donors, and their own contribution, aims to continue supplying PPE to doctors in the future.

President, Awami National Party (ANP), Sindh, Shahi Syed, donated Rs200,000 for PPE and appreciated doctors for fighting against the coronavirus pandemic with valor and fervor.

On the invitation of the President, ANP Sindh, a delegation of the YDA, NICH, led by Dr Mehboob Ali Noonari met with Shahi Syed at his residence.

Shahi Syed welcomed the doctors and appreciated their efforts in fighting against this pandemic.

He urged the general public to follow the government’s rules regarding the lock-down strictly and to keep political differences aside and to fight this together.
